John Tartaglia (Avenue Q Soundtrack) - My Girlfriend Who Lives In Canada (bloody funny - download it if you haven't heard it... basically the background is that the character is gay in the closet trying to convince everyone he's straight.... but everyone knows that he's gay...) Laugh

(How good is that dress?!)
Good luck with the show, Wilem... Oh... Jessye Norman is a wonderful singer, or course, but I believe I prefer to remember Lisa and how she delivered "Dido's Lament" in our show a few years ago. It was ripping and sent goosepimples all over your body just listening to her dying and suffering... Cry
Strange, when you think how young Purcell died... There was a different relation to death in his days, wasn't there?

The dress? Hmmm, not sure about it. But given that Dido was living in Carthagena she could have looked somewhat like Jessye. Lisa was a blonde girl from Finland, very inappropriate really, but blessed with such a beautiful voice... I'm glad to have met her and sung along her side. Confusedmile:

Indeed, another composer who died too young. Actually, while I enjoyed this, I prefer to hear An Die Musik sung with a little more passion than is delivered here by the wonderful Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. There are some lovely performances on YouTube.

John Tartaglia is about to commit career suicide Tongue He's starring as the original Ginger bread man in Shrek the Musical, which well... he's went from being top man and lead actor to mediocre, Shrek the musical, I mean seriously...

One Last Hope - Danny DeVito (HERCULES SOUNDTRACK AHH)

I have been listening to Marian McPartland, a wonderful old (90 Years) English woman who has a lovely radio program here in the USA called "Piano Jazz"

I adore Jazz. I suppose it's because my late grandmother was a jazz fan. Growing up here in Hollywood, I have always loved jazz. My favorites are Gershwin and Cole Porter.

I don't think that jazz is as huge here, as popular in the US as it once was.

Our populace has been terribly dumbed down in recent decades.

Just discovered Foals. Really enjoying Gold Gold Gold. The opening to The French Open reminds me a little of Terry Riley's Poppy Nogood and the Phantom Band. That would always earn it a credit in my book Confusedmile:
