Nothing gold can stay
#1
Natures first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leafs a flower,
But only so an hour.
And leaf subsides to leaf.
So eden sank to greif.
And dawn goes down to day,
Nothing gold can stay

This is my all time favorite poem, out of any other poem ive ever read, or written, this is the top of the list. When i first heard this, on the movie The Outsiders, It just stuck with me. it stirred something deep inside, idk exactly how to explain it.
