I kind of agree with red06sc. I don't really like the idea of a rainbow badge. I don't think your sexual orientation should come into the workplace. It's simply irrelevant. And if it was me, I wouldn't be wearing a rainbow badge. I'd just say no - I'm a doctor or a nurse or whatever and my sexual orientation doesn't come into it.

lol i wonder if this woman has health insurance. because if she doesnt, i hope she gets a bad cavity in her tooth and a gay dentist offers her service for free. LOL, that owuld make my day just to see if she will take the pain or actually give in. but anyway, i have to say wearing a rainbow badge is a little unprofessional. your sexuality should noe be valid or really cared about in the workplace.

Christians wear crucifixes, why can't gays wear discreet rainbow pins or similar?

Perhaps wearing any badge while tending to ill children may not be a good idea?

My mum is a children's nurse, and isn't allowed to wear any badges, pins, jewellery or ANYTHING apart from her uniform.

But if crucifixes are allowed to be worn at a hospital, then i see no reason that similar jewellery can't be worn.
