It really is a snowball affect isn't it, there is no way to escape it in the northern Hemisphere, but you don't hear too much about Canada and UK and most of Asia in the same light as the USA or EU.

The southern Heisphere seems to also be rather quiet with not much being said about South Africa, South American nations, and Oceania.

As far as the USA not being bankrupt, it was certainly looking over the edge at one point not so long ago, but fortunately avoided the situation, and may they continue to do so.

So why are the huge economies falling and the smaller economies seemingly prospering, what is getting done differently?

the snowball effect is a concern

the US went through a banking crisis early on and had to clean up. Think Europe is doing it now
