Start of the Christmas Season in the US

Right where I live my house is 3 bedrooms and that, its over the average house price for the same style and its £300k, down the road they just built a set of flats no garden no nothing, each selling £200-300k.

1.5 million USD

Rent on my 1 bedroom where I am .. $1100 USD a month

Your in new york.. Thats why its so high. New york is one of the working capitals of the world, so prices will be sky high.. Just here in the UK whereever you go first time buyers cannot get on the property ladder. The prices are too high, and now everyone is building high spec places which nobody can afford!

I just want a nice house in a nice community with land :frown:

I would settle for a good apartment that I could actually make the payments on

I'm just outside New York - a mere 3 miles

because I can't afford New York

so then I have to commute which takes 1.5 hours

ouch ... lived other places ..

worked my ass off to move here

love it here ... even though right now it is too damn cold

could leave right now and probably have a better job and spend less
