I joined yesterday after a long discussion with my friend about how people are actually quitting their jobs as they're making a living from inside Second Life! Its totally bizarre....and I'm all for not working so thought I'd give it a look!

Hmmm that would be something .... i know their money convert into real money which is interesting. I know you can buy you own land there , some have islands. If they have virtual shops and see in 3d what you buy or sell could work...

Actually I used to play Second Life and yes your money in the game converts to real money. I believe it's every $10 in-game is equal to $1 in real life. The is so much you can do in that game. Yes you can buy your own islands, shops, houses and anything you want. You can make your own cities and charge any type of rent or taxes you want. Anything is possible, but you have to get past the first past. The best way to go about that game is to put maybe $100 into it to get you started. That should be good enough to get armor, weapons and some mining equipment. Mining is the easiest and best way to get money when you start off... I should get back on...

I used to be in second life, but it got so tedious all that walking around, shopping and trying on different outfits. I couldn't do the flying thing as I suffer from vertigo
