No, but it was at the end of it.

I suppose I was lucky in that respect. I never saw or heard of a hate crime until the 1980's, and the few kids in school that were known as "gay"...I dont remember them ever being picked on or harassed.

I think more people were forgiving in the 1970's of other people, more so than they are now. At least to me.

Most people are damned hatemongers nowdays.
