I just watched the remake of Poseidon (2006)
It was great. That Dylan guy was so badass.

Everest is good. So are the documentaries about some of the various disasters (storms, earthquake, avalanches) that have taken place on Everest, or other mountains like K2, are also interesting.

Jaws, the Towering Inferno were two of the big disaster movies that were popular in their time; Not sure how well Towering Inferno will have aged.

Dawn of the Dead - cant get more disaster than a zombie outbreak and trying to hold up in a shopping mall - it really deals with the human condition
