Is this all because of people do not want to conform to "traditional" societal expectations of gender stereotypes? Can't these people just say "I'm a dude who does not like football" or "I'm a girl who does not like baking cakes" etc?

I don't identify or NOT identify as gender anything. I identify as Rikki. But I am male because I have a dick. then there are people who make a point of not identifying as the thing they do not want to be associated with. Surely people should be concerning themselves with what they DO identify as.

Just seems to me to be a load of silly obsessing over something and nothing. So what if someone "accidentally" calls you a he? Are you going to keep picking people up everytime they get it wrong, or what? Just how far does this "maximum control" that universities are allowing go? A load of fuss over what other people are calling you. Are there not more important things to concern yourself with?

I tell you what. This is going to mess up the Speech and Language work I am doing with my autistic kids, teaching them how to differentiate between people simply to develop their understanding.

Yes, I learned that recently, oddly through the Scandi drama "The Bridge".

How about "Shim"?

It has to be somewhere between the two?.. right?

Biologically speaking it's nonsensic, there are only 2 biological genders, apart fom certain genomic chromosomal anomalies.

Of course, most gender perceptions are based on psychology and not biology, so you do get more than 2 psychological genders. If applied properly, I supposed the nouns maybe useful for integration purposes.

To avoid such affronts isn't better to adress someone by their name?
