Rubber Taste
#1
Whenever I taste rubber, whether form a dildo, ball gag, or boot, it slowly becomes unbearably spicy. It lasts up to an hour after contact and seems to be exacerbated by air(so for example the ball gag can stay in a lot longer without side effects than licking boots). Does anyone else experience this or know what might cause it?

Natural rubber is refined from a thick, milky liquid tapped from trees...if you have an allergy or sensitivity to the trees in question, your body's response can range from what you're experiencing to full blown anaphylaxis. An allergist could determine whether or not this is the case by testing for latex sensitivity.

In the meantime, try pre-medicating with an OTC antihistamine before your next exposure and see if that helps.

Could you use a non-rubberized ball gag? A plastic one of some kind?

Cover it with plastic film.

I will try the antihistamine. I could get a non-rubber gag, but I was hoping there might be a quick fix so I could just use what I have.

if i were you i would seek the allergist because you could come into contact with a dildo ball gag etc that is made differently and could end up being a fatal reaction not all latex materials are high quality ingredients and you could end up with a reaction that you might end up not recovering from just a thought be careful

There is no quick fix, and the reality is that if you are already sensitive to latex, the more exposure you get the greater the sensitivity becomes, then it will move on to allergic reactions which could lead to hives, swelling and a little thing they call anaphylactic shock - which can readily KILL YOU.

Reality is that for many people they go from 'just a little sensitive' to 'I'm dying, get me to the ER now!' suddenly. Even people who have never experienced an allergic reaction to something can suddenly find themselves in the ER being treated for anaphylactic shock.

Since you already know that latex is causing you an issue - I would STRONGLY advise you to stop playing with latex stuff and go see a doctor for testing. There are currently several new specific allergen treatments which may work for you. I haven't kept up with the growing list of allergy specific treatments - your doctor (General Practitioner) mayn't have kept up, but he can send you to a specialist who does nothing more than to keep up with the latest treatments in this field.

So to add to the oddity. Antihistamines do not work to alleviate the sensation and it appears to effect others after me but not before. I sucked on a guys dildo and it turned spicy for him as well and he said he hadn't any problems like that with it before and after washing it was fine. Perhaps there is just something in my saliva that reacts to make a capsaicin-like solution?
