Same sex marriages will be legal as from midnight tonight, the 28th of March, but, there always is a "but" http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-26773016

About bloody time!
My congrats to Brits! This is major  mile:As for what the lovely Catholics are saying. Uh huh. People stopped listening to Catholics in the UK about 500 years ago (and you can take my word for it, that is the best thing Brits could have ever done, btw) 68% approve 26% would "reject an invitation"? Dear Lord I wish things were that good here. It would be the opposite numbers arround here.

I read that one couple are getting married at one minute past midnight. Reckon they must be on a countdown now.
