I had a double stapled haemorrhoidectomy back in 2008, no guarantee the roids won't return, they more than likely will.
No need to make them recur any faster.
I don't have anal sex and I still have another roid, just something you have to learn to live with...it's a more common problem than you realise.

Make sure you tell your doc you do anal sex before he operates on you.

thx for the responses. had the initial consult. Dr. not convinced its hemorrhoids. possibly warts! scheduled appt. for 2nd opinion from specialist. Good news--warts are easier to treat. Bad news--sexually transmitted.

There are a large number of strains of identified HPV out there, most clear up on their own, some increase the risk of cancer slightly. As long as you aren't immune compromised, from HIV for example, the warts aren't dangerous.
The bad part is that HPV is difficult to prevent, condoms are not very effective at preventing HPV infection.
When a subject is highly controversial â and any question about sex is that â one cannot hope to tell the truth. One can only show how one came to hold whatever opinion one does hold. One can only give one's audience the chance of drawing their own conclusions as they observe the limitations, the prejudices, the idiosyncrasies of the speaker.
