e- cigs are harmfull and to be banned.
#11
I remember when I was fifteen in one of my japanese classes a person was using an e cigarette. Tbe teacher tried it too, if was one that just had water and nicotine.

I can see why probably they shouldnt be used in public places just like smoking is banned in public places, but they seem to be useful treatment.

I just recently read a magazine article about this.

sounds like yeah e-cig's may be harmfull, but nowhere near that of normal cigarettes
plus there's no second-hand smoke / etc

waait. Can you provide links to these studies? E-Cigs are not even tobacco products. At least here in Canada. They are an alternative, food grade product, and for the most part dont even contain tobacco or nicotine (Maybe some specialized versions, but i havent seen any).

They helped me quit smoking nearly three years ago after a fifteen year habit.

They aren't perfect, and yes nicotine is still an addiction, but it is far far better for you than smoking.

I don't understand why they're being banned. They emit odorless steam, not smoke.

There is little possibility of enough research to even suggest they're "just as bad". This is about taxation and regulation.

The government never made cigarettes illegal because they want the taxes. They will never make these illegal either.

I can't imagine they contain the tars and other negatives of real smoke. I certainly prefer their lack of smell.

There is no possible way they can be "just as bad for you." There is no smoke, no tar, no chemicals. You inhale nicotine in water vapor. That's it. It doesn't have a smell, and no one around you will be affected.

Nicotine is still a drug, but so is caffeine.

I like e-cigs better than regular cigarettes. There is no smell, and they're way healthier...what's not to like?
