What's on my mind?
Hmmm... Well lately I've been thinking about the saying "don't look for love or a relationship, it will find you." I struggle with this so much. I think about the fact that I'm in one of the most conservative states in the country and I ask myself, do I need to live in a location that is more open to homosexuality in order to actively "not look" for a relationship or love and allow it to find me?
I think the context of the situation is important to consider when I choose to consciously follow that saying. Do we as gay men have to do a bit of putting ourselves out there in order to find what we're looking for? Maybe this statement holds true to everybody, but I'm always told by my girlfriends that I need to stop looking or trying (easy for them to say... They have boyfriends.)
Maybe I'll just have to wait these 2 years out, focus on myself, and then move to a more open environment.
All of this made sense in my head lol.
