Well heres an idea for a new thread, the daft things people say.

Not sure what triggerd the memory but today I remberd when i was training to be a mechanic every now and again I would help on the service desk.

(set the picture me at 16 in a shirt and tie:eek: on the Service desk trying to be all polite and propper init!!)

Phone rings, Good morning Rover service desk ect...

Cust, ive got a problem with my car on start up it sounds very much like a diesel.
Me, oh thats no good whats ur reg no.. ect...
Tapping away and get records on screen, ok so ive got your car listed as a Rover 25 Turbo Diesel is that right.
Cust, yup thats it
Me, well i suspect it will sound like a diesel in that case (while trying not to laugh)
