British Summer Time. Before the clocks go back. It just gets far too dark too early in GMT in Winter (Greenwich Mean Time, which is the time we are on now). If we stayed on GMT, we wouldn't get as long light in the Summer evenings either. There is debate whether we should just stick on one or the other and not change the clocks in Spring and Autumn.
