Well I'm from Derbyshire so I should by rights have a northern (ok, a northern midlands) accent, but I lost it as we moved down here when I was two, so I have to put it on when I'm dealing with people from back home to blend in *does a blending in movement with his hands* .
I love different accents, and love to mimic them, but I have to say (Saltybeanz), Welsh is by far the hardest to do in my opinion. The accent is almost always on the vowel, and it seems to be much more regularly placed on the vowels than in other accents, giving the language a floatier, almost songlike quality that I could listen to for hours ...
Ok ok, add to that my boyfriend's Welsh so .
But yeah - I LOVE accents ... I can always remember going to the States and having people tell me "oh I love your accent" and I'd be all "no no NO my friend, YOU'RE the one with the ... oh ... wait a minute ...."
Hee hee !
!?!?! Shadow !?!?!
