Frankly I would discourage a hypnotherapist or attempting to otherwise force your recall of repressed memories.

And if you have a choice in the matter, I would strongly advice that you never attempt to recall those memories.

Trust me, I am not better off knowing and recalling.

The mind will usually at some point begin a process of recall so that repressed memories are dealt with. Unfortunately this process is really needed in the healing process (I use the term healing but I would say its more of a 'dealing with' process)

A GOOD hypnotherapist would never attempt their client to force recall of these memories. Sadly there are too many bad hypnotherapists out there though.
