Elections effect on LGBT Community

In reply to the OP, I think you will have to wait to see what the difference between their rhetoric and meaningful actions turns out to be.

Despite what he says...his actions have shown repeatedly that gay issues are not high on his list of priorities though on the other side he has appointed more openly gay people to positions than all the others combined so I wouldn't say he is necessarily throwing us under a bus...he is just trying to avoid the same fate for himself.

So what if he has appointed a surprising number of openly gay and lesbian people to government jobs? With the exception of those who have got those jobs why should the rest of America's gays and lesbians be thankful? To me it seems like symbolism instead of real action.
