I have no idea how to read or write poetry, but here are my attempts (one's kind of serious and one's kind of not).

1.

I like my You better than yours

My You is sweet and best of all

Loves me

Your You is everything everyone thinks

About themselves

Really, you’re like everyone anywhere,

Just like me

But wouldn’t it be great if we were both

The person everyone wished we

Could be?



2.

Look me in the eye, motherfucker

Don’t give me the same goddamn look

People have given me since second grade.

I know you know the one.

The face looking up slightly, forty five degrees

Away from mine. The eyes toward the temples

The Brando brows

The lip sneered up, sensing something rancid.

Caught halfway between bemusement and disgust

Followed immediately with dismissal.

It was just a joke.

Fuck you.

Hahaha, I especially enjoyed the second one. I couldn't help but read it allowed with angry contention. Made me feel something, just as it should.
