Frankly nick, to describe Scandinavia is like this when it comes to term of relation.



Norway is in the Middle between Sweden and Denmark, and Finland is behind Sweden, and Iceland behind Denmark

Think the Danes where the first to take this flag, then we took it, as Norway, Iceland, Faroe Islands and Åland is because I think it has something to do with them being an Island (Fails at Norway) or that they were once (Or is, Faroes still is) a part of Denmark (Which fails at Åland) or that they were once occupied and now free or they feel like it, I actually don't know why they got those flags, just know that Åland has always considered to be more Swedish and that explains the flag Finns got they're flag from us. There are some speculations that Danes got they're flag somehow from Estonia as they found that while they were IN Estonia, and I think that Latvia has also some connection with that flag as its very similar if you look it up

Think Icelanders are just happy to be mentioned once in a while, as its a country you tend to forget it exist. mile:

I believe it is the Nordic Cross, much the same way those of the British Commonwealth commonly have the the Cross of st George and the Cross of St Patrick
