If he's a boy and there's a female close by, then he is Mr.Right lol. Lily doesn't "call" so I know she's a girl, cause only males call, so If I can get a male, that'll be her Mr.Right :p.

Actually we do, Tree Frogs(like Lily) fortell rain and storms, cause then you can find them everywhere. In sunny weather they hide and it's extremely hard to find them, unless you have a puddle of some sort near your house, but in rainy weather, they come out and can be found every and anywhere there is water. They breed during this time. :p

That reminded me of something. When we had that big flood in 2002 (they say flood as big as this one comes once in 100 years or even more years) people said that garden snails climbed (LOL how do you say it, when it is a snail) up the houses and trees and they stopped really high above the ground. The next day the flood came and the snails stayed safe

More like the males are, they hop on anything that moves during mating season, until they find a female. They even hop on each other sometimes, cause even they can't tell the difference between themselves :p .

Usually, but they'll be out more during the actual rain, but you can see them hopping all over :p.

Doesn't surprise me, as Terrestrial Snails(Like Aspersa & Otala Lactea) cannot breath underwater like their fresh water and marine cousins. They have only one primitive lung, that once water gets in, they die. They can sense humidity or lack thereof, so they can tell wether or not their environment is safe or not. They thrive in humid areas, so they'd come down after the rain, but they can't swim, nor breath under water.

Apple Snails are one of the best known, truely amphibious snails, that lives in freshwater and on land. :biggrin:

You should've seen her eat a little moth I somehow managed to get for her. She took her little hands and stuffed it in her mouth and I was like, "uh,uh,uh, Use your manners Lily" . She probably won't have to eat for about a day :p . Her little belly is all fat now .

I googled Apple Snails, just to find out that I had them once LOL. But I didn't know they could live on land too *blush* I had them in my aquarium tank when I was little. They surprised me by laying their eggs out of the water, but unfortunately nothig came out of those eggs.

Yeah, Apple Snails usually lay their eggs on underwater vegetation, although I don't think it's uncommon for them to lay in the dirt as well, since they're amphibious.

They have both a lung and a gill, so they can use either one when needed. If kept in an aquarium, the lid should be secure, because like alot of animals that live in a tank, they can climb up the glass and out the top and you might step on it without noticing. Animals like; Snails,Newts,Frogs,Slugs, Salamanders, Lizards and the like can all walk up the side of a glass wall, so it's best to be careful with them .

Te he :tongue: . That's only cause she gets on her dock (basking area) and has learned she can push the lid up and squeeze out. She can't climb the walls though.

I've weighed the side of the lid her dock is on, so she can't push it up
