Hmm medical Problem!
#1
Hey another problem woo.

Two months ago I had a bad case of the flu. This then caused an infection which made the right side of my face (My eye to be more exact) swell up so much I couldnt see out of it. Literally 4x the size.

I of course went to the doctors, where at first she said it was just an infection. Gave some medication and let me go.

So I thought nothing of it until she rang 4 times. The first 3 times I was like whats going on, and missed the phone. Ive never known a doctor to phone a patient.

Eventually I managed to answer, she told me as soon as I get a burning sensation to go straight to hospital, she believed she was wrong with what she originally said, and it was some sort of infection which infected part the brain. If my eye started burning there would be a chance my vision would be damaged, of course this happened and I went in, they gave stronger tablets.

Anyway it cleared, all apart from one part. I now have a lump which looks like a spot with no head or a boil or something to that extent. Its stayed since, and basically I dont know what it is or what to do? The thing I noticed is I recently had the flu coming back. And basically it got soo sore and started to swell. Also my eyes are terrible when I feel ill now. the lump is about 1/2 a cm from my nose and 2 cms from my eye.

What do you guys think I should do?

Rush to the doctors...

Has your regular doc (the one that called you up) seen this lump?

I dont think you want to lose an eye. At least call up your dear doc.

take care and feel better,

Argh sorry to hear this Marky!

I d say go to the doctor to refer you to a specialist ASAP.

Max i can do for you is to see if a friend of mine who is a doctor specialized on the brain can give any information or maybe talk to you. i will check if he is online now.

I agree with the boys babe, for what it's worth - it could be nothing, but it could be something and, as such, it should be examined and diagnosed so that you can get closure on it ... or get it sorted ... Bighug.

Especially if it is close to your eye,

NOT being a doctor but full of common sense, I can imagine that there are a lot of nerves and other things that your eye, in particular, may have problems with due to swelling in the area that might end up problem if left too long.

If it's nothing, then all you've wasted is some time. If it IS something, then you've caught it i time.
