I also miss seeing the jacaranda infill loom in Australia..

We also have another tree that is a very similar to the Jacaranda, but unrelated is the Royal Poinciana, or the Flame Tree and as the name suggests it flowers Red and is as prolific and spectacular as the Jacaranda, especially in mass plantings.

beautiful! They remind me of rhododendrons because of the colors and rich and big flowers

The colours are as vibrant as Rhododendrons and Azalia's

The only other plant that has this shade of color that I know is wistaria Smile
I also love trees and bushes with blue flower, but they are so rare...

Wisteria's are actually quiet common in Australia as a trellis plant, especially in the cooler south.
