New account on msn

I want to open a new hotmail account as it seems my old one has been hacked... but:

1. I am trying to open a new hotmail.com account and automatically directs me to hotmail.co.uk . Can i do that now, any tips?
I found a link where i can go and have a .com account with hotmail silly me didnt save the link and now cant find again.

2. Cant decide what new addy(user name) to choose , open to ideas
('Spotysocks' is available but i want something new and different from my initial letters... yeah i know... problems people have )
