For those not Americans, the TSA are a government goon squad that hangs around airports. If you're lucky then they're too apathetic to be more than a minor nuisance, which is just as well as there's no real sign they actually improve safety (actually a friend of mine was extremely lucky to get through multiple airports with brass--that is bullets--in her purse that she didn't know were there!)
