but I have a great tenderness for Caetano Veloso's version of Maria La O, this is preceded by Fina Estampa, equally playful and beautiful. Lovely voice.

Another version of Maria Elena... They used to play this on French tv when there was a lull in the programming, they'd have this game going to this music, (we're talking the early 60s here, there was just one channel and in black and white, haha!!) just to while away the time until News time... I remember it so well. It took me ages to know who the performers of this music were.
