I don't get the use of term 'lol'

I never said you had problems and was only assuming you were crying, which is obviously a joke. I mean, it's not even a serious thread. Unless it means that much to you. I'm still concerned as to who you really are. Don't know why you are anon in the first place, but to each is own.
Hostility? lol (zing!) And I never said anything about your "lol" so technically you never disagreed with me, per say. I only offered a humorous approach to your, what seems like, irritated approach to the change of subject regarding this thread. Buuuuut apparently "lol" can be quite a controversial topic. You missed my point but given your literal translation of everything I suspected you would....

My point...I am sure there are things that bother other people about YOU...do you think we should make a thread to point these things out to you...or is it all about you? These "what bothers me" threads would be endless IF we were all naive enough to beleive other peope were responsible for our feelings. No matter who you are...when you point a finger at someone else there are five more pointing back at you! Count on it.:biggrin:

Well, I do it so the person I'm talking to knows I'm joking or doesn't get offended. You can never tell when someone's being sarcastic or not online.

Some of my mates use it obsessively. To the point where it's annoying and just kind of makes em' sound like a wally.
