Body Language / Chemistry.

Hey Everyone.

I wonder whether people have any thoughts on this?

There is a lad ive had my eye on at the local supermarket for some time now. Hes a few years younger than me , and i get fairly strong vibes he is gay. Hes quite sensitive and shy looking if that makes sense. Hes looked at me and ive looked at him in weeks gone by and he must have noticed me in the same way i have him.

I decided to take the plunge the other day and ask him where something was in the store to see how he would react (which was really brave of me!)
When i first spoke to him, i noticed his eyebrows rise and fall very quickly (ive looked this up and its a sign someone is attracted to you - do people believe this or am i reading [hoping] to much into this??? lol.)
Anyway i kind of made a joke and he smiled / laughed so i was thrilled with that. Hes got quite a soft and quiet voice, but thats all i could really pick up on from like a 90 second encounter.

How do people think i should proceed? If he is gay, i dont want to make him feel uncomfortable or out, yet i cant "pounch" on a complete stranger. He could be straight possibly, but i dont want to miss the chance that someone i am really attracted to could be gay, and i could get to know him.

HELP!!!!!!!

Thanks All. xxxx

Hi why don't you ask him if he wants to go out for a drink or something. Or build up a friendship and see where it leads. Does he show any other body lanague?

Hey,

Your story is really cute, hehe. All I can say is to approach it differently. Why not try to become friends with him first? If you go to school/University or something maybe you can ask if you see him again if he goes to one or something?

Good luck..! :]

The key to any good relationship is Friendship...start there. Have a chat and let things go from there Wink

as much as you want him to be gay... well 3-8% of the population is gay so small but possible chance he is gay and out himself as well.

I think people speak with their movements and their eyes tell a story too.

dont crush on the straight population, they will never respond.

Body language is very circumstantial and very deceptive.

People say look at the way the legs are crossed, etc. Maybe my left leg hurts. Maybe I'm aware of my body language and I'm controlling that too.

It's not something you can rely on in every day life without training.

Also there's a song called Taylor The Latte Boy, maybe it'll bring meaning to your life.

Edit: Holy thread revival, Batman.

I also think that body language can be deceiving and you just need to talk to himSmile
start off with friendship, its the safe way to go, and even if he were straight you have a new friend!

Personally I rely a lot of body language on how to figure out what a person is feeling, as of late I've found that I'm particularly good at telling if someone is lying lol. There are a load of common signs that can show if someone likes you, my personal fave me being a biologist is the fact the pupils dilate so you are able to capture more of a view of a potential mate, Science aside I would recommend you tread carefully but don't feel afraid to not take a chance with this guy, ask him out for coffee or a drink sometime, I'm sure he'll say yes, then maybe in that situation you will be able to gauge his sexuality better.
