Wow it's rather a rough read, although I have been getting into more of the brainwashing and conspiracy type stuff lately so I can spot it a bit more.

I find the idea of some misguided religious nut tampering with the very fabric of my mind and emotional outlook one of the most horrifying things I can imagine.

To deny someone's free will in accordance with what you feel is morally just is beyond evil...beyond vile.....I'm not a violent person under normal circumstances...but I would LOVE the chance to be alone in a room with several of these religious piles of dung...to "rehabilitate them" on my terms...I promise they would not be pleasant ones either.

As someone who has had rehabilitative therapy suggested to him by a number of people I thought loved me for who I was....I have a personal vendetta against any supporter of it....I only thank my lucky stars I was never actually inducted into one of these Nazi camps.

But yes...this is one of the reasons why I HATE religion, especially Christianity and I feel sorry for any innocent who is a victim of these monsters.

No, but the Bible does, including in the NT, and the Bible is the “word of God” (who is also Jesus).

Also, while I think it's reaching to call it a definition, Jesus did assume a man and woman in marriage in Matthew 19: 3-6, which many antigay Christians love to quote.

Of course most of those same Christian (there are a few exceptions) happily overlook Matthew 19: 9 when it comes to heterosexual divorce (that is, divorce for any other reason than sex outside of marriage means the divorce is not valid and any sex, including marriage, after is adultery in the eyes of God).

Normally I don't think Christianity (and other religions) matter that much, people will be people in both good & bad ways while rationalizing themselves. However, religion does seem to be a major cause for oppression and even violence against gays. As just one lesser example nearly every ad promoting Prop 8 in California (and the reasons the vast majority gave for why they voted for it) included the words God, Jesus, and/or the Bible in it. Had it not been for Christianity Prop 8 would not have passed, and I doubt it would've even been an issue that made it on the ballot.

I saw psychologyst in Macedonia and talked about my issue, my gayness and social anxiety, that kind of stuff. She told me that being gay is wrond and talking to her will cure me. She said that in my age (I'm 16 ) people don't know if they're gay or straight and that this is just a phase. Now I started questioning my sexual orientation, earlier I was 100% sure I am lesbian, but now I don't know.

Did your parents hire this psychologist? (Conversely, did the church put her up to it?) Because if so she'll say what she's paid to say. She's selling a service to your parents (and/or church), not to you.

And btw, when I identified as bisexual at 17 many also told me it was just a phase, and even some people who didn't like gays were willing to shrug off my bisexuality as they figured in a year or two I'd settle with some nice man and start raising babies.

Ironically, they were right in that my bisexuality was just a phase (and I suspect most of my attraction to men was more curiosity than genuine attraction)...just more in the "bi now, gay later" way than the way they thought.

Hmm... no actually in Macedonia in books on colleges homosexuality is disease, and they learn that. The church also has influence a lot in macedonian society and it is sad because it is really homophobic country and we have no rights here...
