Doing something not Gay - Riverboats!
#1

Riverboats are on my mind. Those Old Paddle Steamers that use to ply rivers like the Mississippi.

I'm interested in the designs - the hard designs of these river boats, more specifically the side wheel kind. While there are plenty of stock images out there, What I can't seem to find is the internal design/layout.

Things I wonder about: Did they have a dinning room? If so where was the kitchen? How was that kitchen laid out? They didn't have refrigeration -right? so how did they store foodstuff?

They had cabins, but did they have toilets? If so did each cabin have a bathroom? Or was it more communal, a central toilet/bath facility on board? IF there was a toilet - how did they process the waste? Was it directly over board (ew - who wants to swim in the Mississippi now?)

Either I do not know how to use Google, or there just are not designs out there - Maybe one of your geeky types can find me a few sites that give internal layout of the old River boats (old ones, not the new ones pulled kicking and screaming into the 21st century).

I would say you get 5 not-gay points for the interest in river boats. However, I must give you 3 gay points for wondering about the lay-out of the kitchens. And finally, I have no choice but to give you another twenty gay points for coming to gayspeak.com to discuss river boats, making a grand total of negative eighteen not-gay points.

You make a good point matty7. However, we cannot rule based on speculation. The score remains as is until further information regarding the source of this sudden interest in riverboats comes to light.

I missed your calculation reasoning there, Toby... Can you explain?
-5 GPts
+ 3 GPts = - 2 GPts

-2 Gpts
+20 Gpts
= + 18GPts, (plus) not negative points, surely???
... er ...
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, negative not-gay points... Xyxthumbs

My boyfriend and partner and I invested in a narrow boat (which lives on a river). We are both gay... why is the interest in river boats NOT gay???? is it because boats are referred to as SHE?

You're not wrong to point out the unnecessary complication of my scoring system. As soon as I included a double negative, I knew I made a mistake.
