Doing something not Gay - Riverboats!
#11
LOL guys.

Bowyn,

you could try to google more about Arabia
http://www.glswrk-auction.com/102.htm

If I were you, I would call the museum
http://www.1856.com/

I would dare to guess that they bought fresh food or used dry food (I mean like beans etc).

They could have also used an old ice. There were places in our castles - under the ground - for ice storage. They cut the river ice in winter and sell it and in some well built storages the ice didn't melt until the next winter.

Hey, Nick but it's not as if these boats never accosted or anything... They went up and down the river, surely stocking up on fresh produce as they got into the next port.

well, isn't it what I had said? Confusedmile:
But if they bought fish or meat in the morning, they could have used ice to keep it until dinner time.

I just mentioned how the ice could be kept frozen even in summer time (on the land, not on the ship Smile)

Oh, um.... Mark Twain, sure. That's exactly what I meant.... heh heh. Is it hot in here or is it just me?

(This actually made me laugh really hard. The suicide prevention pic didn't even register when I looked at your sig so at first I had no idea what you were talking about.)
