I love to eat, and I have never 'trained'.
But, I do physical work for a living, so I'm tight and hard, and tanned in the summer, and I come home covered with hydraulic oil, and smelling like a working man every day..
I feel bad for guys who have to go to the gym to get a workout. I get my workout, and get paid to do it.

Ah so many questions! lol, that's what happens when you get distracted with other stuff.
To P.A. it depends on how you mean that but probably the answer's yeah.
About the eating for pleasure thing, no not really. When i weighed less i needed to eat a lot less to maintain my body so my appetite wasn't much. after having gained some weight i find it a little easier to enjoy but still gotta plan out what i need.
And WouldLikeMuscle yeah, i know how that high metabolism thing goes. it was really tough for me too, i had to be at the gym literally almost every day to keep breaking down my muscle since my body metabolized my food so fast. After a while it just starts becoming natural to eat a little more and then you can take more breaks from workouts for recovery time.

Well, Closet, smoking is a well known appetite inhibitor, so I wouldn't be surprised that stopping the smoking actually increased your appetite a bit. That's what all these women are afraid of now, giving up fags might mean putting on some extra (unwanted) weight. But if you are carefully planning what you eat, it's not going to be much different, is it?

The stuff that I smoke actually increases my appetite. LoL...

I don't work out, as in lifitng heavy stuff, but I do play golf...

Hit about 100 balls everyday at the driving range... takes about an hour and a half...

Hit the practice green twice a week... each time, for an hour... can't practice too much putting coz the back hurts.

Then goto the chipping green twice a week... each time spend about half an hour...

And tee off once a week....

Wow this is a jumpy topic...food talk!!!!!!
Food repulses me. i'm not mr thin, i weigh about 205# and let's see what I had today. P&J sandwich, soup, a peice of cheeze, and a cracker.

I have to force myself to eat and I'm not sure why. There just isn't any taste to food. I don't eat meat because it's nasty.. I chew gum all the time. Okay and my point is???????

Now smoking...Don't do it

You have no idea how sad that makes me feel. There is a whole world of pleasure that you are missing out on. Food is one of my principle reasons for living. There are people who spend thousands of dollars on a three Michelin starred meal, I'd be among them if only I could afford it. I think that you need to spend a little more time and effort on what you eat. I'm willing to bet that you tend to eat 'on the go', whilst doing something else. Try and sit down for proper meals, set aside time for them, try not to be doing anything else. (I admit this is easier if you do not live on your own, and can enjoy a meal with someone.) Get yourself a decent, simple, easy cookbook, a veggie one if you don't want to eat meat. Perhaps organise for you and a few friends to go out to a restaurant (not fast food!)

I don't think there is any surprise that you are not enjoying eating if the above is what you are eating.

I think someone mentioned earlier on that in order to lose weight you do need to eat enough, often enough. The theory seems to be that not eating enough encourages the body to store its intake as fat. I don't have the same problem with food as you seem to even though I carry more weight than makes me comfortable. I do enjoy eating good food and, indeed it is a requirement of anyone in a relationship with PA Wink, but I recognise not having the interest in spending a lot of time or money on preparing it, particularly when I'm cooking for just me.

I hope I never forget how it is possible to be really excited by food. Many years ago I had a gig in Belfast. I went to an Italian-owned restaurant for an evening meal where I chose a starter that sounded too odd to be edible - deep-fried Camembert with a raspberry sauce. One of the other people in the party at the table said to me afterwards, "I've never seen your face light up like that until you took a first taste of that starter!" Wow
