An M.P just for old people?

Ok so i just heard on the news that suggestions have been made and are being considered for a new post to be created in parliment. An M.P just for old people.
Whats the point?
We already have local M.P's....isnt that their purpose?
They are there to listen to the community right!
Since when are old people not part of the community?
Wouldnt it only serve segregate old people. Its not fair.
They should have the same options as us. After all we are all equal. They built our country and should be able to express their opinions without being labeled as "old"

I thought most of ours were all old (well most if them) sometimes u can even see them sleeping while they are in the commons lol
