When talking to a guy online, is it necessary to talk to them every day/ every moment/chance you get? or is it better to just talk every so often?

I think this maybe one of my biggest flaws which is having the need to talk to someone everyday, for example a guy I'm talking to online or dating.

What do you guys think? That talking to them every so often is better or everyday. I do not want to make the conversation forced. I spoke with a guy last night and he was online and I felt like I shouldn't be messaging him again and I should wait. Plus Grindr says someone is online and they usually are not. Though most guys are sleazy on Grindr.

I just know that the guy who has recently come into my life is someone I long to hear from everyday! We are talking over FB private messages and I just long to see they notification pop up that I have a new message from him. But maybe I'm a hopeless romantic!
