I've lived in SD all my life. I've tried to come out to my family a few times, but it hasn't been successful, and I'm not sure how my neighborhood feels about gay people, and don't know anybody in it who might be. It isn't easy, considering all my friends happen to be straight as an arrow, and they say they're really uncomfortable around that topic.
