The truth behind your username

JarethDrakul means alot to me
1)It takes the name Jareth from the film Labyrinth (my all time favourite film) and Drakuk from the history of Vlad the Impaler (I used to be heavily into Vampire mythology and he is along with Elizabeth Bathory the most well known).
2)I've been using it as my name in bands since 2007 (may have been late 2006) so its stuck with me (mainly the Jareth part).
3)It shows my love of Fantasy and then darker side of life

For a while in the late 90's early 00's I thought I was a club celebrity so I got myself a club name: Phat House Phag

It turned out I was just an ordinary Phag so now I use it online

Hmmm my username... let me try to remember....

I picked 'Lightshade' nearly 10 years ago for another board and a chatroom I'm still very active in.

But don't ask me how I had the idea... I played with a few words and somehow ended up with 'Lightshadow'. I liked it because it's an oxymoron, which did fit great for me I decided, because my personalty is a contradiction too. At least that's what everybody tells me all the time

After hanging out a few days with this nickname in the chatroom I desided that the flow of the name wasn't very good, so I played again with some words and ended up with 'Lightshade'

After I googled the name a couple of times the last years and nearly everywhere I register able to use him I'm even a bit proud of it. Either noone likes the name or they don't get the idea to use it

princealbertofb Wrote:Prince Albert of B is a reference to a street in my home town called Albert 2 de Belgique... I'm not Belgian as you know but when I called myself Prince Albert the Belgian connection was with that street name. You all know what a Prince Albert is, I guess, and I liked the royalty of the name.

*chuckle* Just think of all the assumptions people have been making about you... Though it's even more fun when you surprise people by having one and they weren't expecting it. The numbers of times people have ended up mis-aiming by staring and then realising they've been spotted, and hurriedly zipping themselves up at a public toilet is quite hilarious, whilst apologising profusely... It's worth it for that alone.

My username is ironic, as I'm not.
