it's an American reality tv game show, Nick, called the Fear Factor, in which they get contestants to do things that they are really scared about in real life, and the idea is to conquer those fears and eat snails, or swim with electric eels or plunge from a high tower if you have fear of heignts (vertigo)... none of this is very nice, but it pushes the limits.
