Sorry if I'm spoiling everyone's fun... but this thread isn't really going how it was planned...
The idea was you type the first thing that comes to your head that you associate with that word....
But everyone is making everything so cryptic and I don't mean to offend Albert, but half the time it's so cryptic that it's stuff people of my age dont have a clue about and it brings the game to an abrupt stop...
Innit --> Chavs
Innit --> Chavs (great one, haha)
I haven't seen your thread come to an end either, Smurls... It's a very much alive thread, and we all thank you for it. I don't see anything against anyone posting just any word that springs to mind ... for example, I know EXIT probably shouldn't bring such a word as INNIT but... the music of a word or its written form also has its importance. And I am playing the game as you intended (you type the first thing that comes to your head that you associate with that word ), but, obviously, your head and brain can't spring up the same word associations as my head and brain or anyone else's, since we have had different experiences with words and languages.
Does it really really bother you that sometimes the associations are cryptic? I've tried to explain all the ones I thought were really far-fetched each time... I couldn't be playing fairer... Do you really want us to stick to run of the mill expressions or words? I've found it fascinating what other people have managed to associate with anyone else's words so far...mile:
So, no I'm not worried nor offended, but am a little surprised that you should think we are 'spoiling' the game by really coming out with the first thing that springs to mind.
Incidentally, I know, in my case, there is a little research in not coming out with the obvious, so we don't get trapped in a coil and go back to the same old words (it would be very easy to go round in circles).
