(before you ask: in French Intermittents du Spectacle are those people who work in show business (technicians etc) and who are not contracted to a particular venue, but work intermittenly depending on the length of shows etc... Particularly jeopardised with their precarious positions and poor paychecks and dole allowances cut-back by the French government, they were heard demonstrating quite vociferously a few years ago... You know, the French and their strikes.... they're legend. )
