Soooo... I have been thinking of relationships lately and I was wondering what you guys say the benefits of having a boyfriend vs a girlfriend.

Well, considering I have no sexual interest in females, that pretty well covers it. Beyond that, everyone is different so, each partner I've has possessed different qualities I favored.

I'm not bi - I do not see myself ever actually being in a relationship with a woman. Now there were two women I seriously considered the whole marriage, babies and crap lifestyle with. But Fortunately (or unfortunately however you want to see it) they were Lesbians.

I'm attracted to men mostly (aside from my two lesbians heart breakers) and that attraction goes beyond just the penis. Its a bit more complex when we start going into the heart of the matter.

I guess it boils down to the person and their sexual disposition. Who they are attracted to.

What do you like best about your boyfriend/partner?

That would be hard to say at this time.

As far as strict friendship goes, I would have to say that there is no difference between the sexes. But as far as dating and romance goes, having played for both teams, I'd say it's been a lot easier dating and being romantic with my boyfriend. When I was dating girls and even when I was married (trying to repress my true sexuality) being romantic, while never difficult to do so, was always just a bit awkward. However, with my boyfriend, the romantic stuff and even the everyday "little stuff" of the relationship just seems to flow naturally.

Well, if we have to leave aside the penis () I'd say the greatest comfort is that warmth, the shared emotions, the similarity in thinking and the fact that there never seems to be disagreement or argument. His patience matches mine (but then so does our tendency to procrastination). I think it's the understanding that is the most precious thing. The sex is good too for the same reasons.

As the guys above me have mentioned, it is mostly about sexual attraction, but other than that there is one thing (for me) that makes it easier to date a guy:
Shared interests - lets face it, not a lot of girls are in to action/sci fi movies, comic books, metal music and gadgets (and porn :p)
