Despite coming from a family of magical folk, for mysterious reasons had a hard time conjuring magical powers. Was hated by his parents, and despite being told by the school he was a non-magical "squib" and would be better off being put into a nonmagical "muggle" school where he could learn how to use technology, went through long years of failing magic amongst peers he could never compete with. Became a very miserable man, whose only friend was his cat. Reluctantly landed a job in the wizarding world as a caretaker of the school he failed in. Where despite watching house elves use magic to service the students, and students use magic to care from themselves, he cleaned and looked after the school without magic, laboring with cleaning an entire castle with primitive cleaning equipment, brooms, mops. Once had his cat, his only friend, stupefied, though luckily had her cured. Once tried taking a class to regain his ancestral magical powers, though still failed and had a student unfortunately discover his shame.
