I fear I am a product of a straight based society where first cousins doing it is taboo, thus in my mind it is 'wrong' even if both individuals are male or both are female.

Yes I know, there is no logical reasoning behind m2m or f2f 'incest' type relationships as it doesn't lead to pregnancy, but something inside of me 'revolts' against the idea.

That something is at least 20 years of strong programming (the first part of my life).

Rationally/intellectually I see no problem with it. Thus I normally don't say anything. Raise an eyebrow, yes. but I sit on my laurels as its not going to hurt anyone.

I would have concerns to the whole family issue... What happens if they begin to fight and argue and bitter over everything??? I would feel odd knowing my aunty is my mother in law to be to be honest but i dont condone those who choose to be with relatives as it isnt hurting me x

Always nice to re affirm the logical loving choice in a emotional personal situation. Everyone needs this some time or another. Give back some good to the community.

it gets a little burn out on gaySpeak reading the same topics all the time is all. for example;

less than expected supportive family
breakup.

I think he means that GS needs more discussion threads about society, philosophy and so on while it's pretty much only filled with personal issues, so he posted this for the reason of discussing a social agenda....if I understood correctly.

Ok ill hand it to you there is that however some people find confidence issues on posting things on their mind can hold them back but from time to time we do find the right topics to talk about infact in my opinon every topic is as valued as the rest

As a teen I had a crush on a cousin twice removed but never persued it because those feelings didn't make me feel comfortable.

However, what is right and wrong for me isn't the same right and wrongs for everyone else and if cousins, brothers or sisters want to persue a raltionship with each other as consenting adults I don't see why they can't. Even though it would make me feel funny, I guess in time it would be something that I could be more comfortable with.

Well, depending on which El Dorado, and how far that is form your parents, they might be some of my friends - there is an El Dorado not too far from me. So if you are in that El Dorado and, your folks are 80 to 90 miles away in the same state, then yeah, might be them LOL.
