Hello Mr.Guitarman <3 .

Welcome to Gayspeak Sir, I hope you enjoy the Queery-Cheeryness that you'll find here[or maybe just by me lol] and make a friend or two, which will most likely be inevitable.

I wonder... do you play Guitar by any chance? Or is that just a username idiosyncracy? :>

I never got around to playing Guitar, But I've been doing music for 19years now[realistically about 14-15 years] and have tinkered with it, but my main instruments are Cello and Viola, although the Piano & Drums are not outside my realm and I was trained to sing oddly enough by my Clarinet Teacher in Middle School.

Tried Bass Guitar around the same time I was playing Double Bass in Highschool...

Nope... never played Guitar really... but wait, when did this turn into my introduction? Roflmao

You may have it back kind sir lol.

Welcome! And in case you *do* play guitar... I'm not much into country music, but I sure do prefer my acoustic Epiphone Dove. (My electric is for sale!)

Aw, that's so cute, you play Harmonica Imu2 . I've always thought like the Piccolo, the Harmonica is a very cute instrument. Although I'm sure you make it very manly  .

Well, being Classically trained, I obviously have an Obligation to atleast somewhat enjoy Classical music Rolleyes and I actually do love it very much, especially Bach [he's my Baby Daddy Confusedmile: ], but I also like Modern music.

Not too big on Blues or Country unfortunately, I played a few Blues songs when I was playing Double Bass, but I didn't really connect with them and as for Country, well, It is pretty particular in it's stylistic approach to harmonics and for lack of a better word "lazy" techniques. Lazy in the sense that it's pretty opposite to Classical, which is very tight and controlled.

I don't play country instruments, such as Banjo, but I could possibly play the Fiddle, if I could get the right holding technique[which is different from a Violin/Viola].

Not to say I'd be any good, but technically I could play it Roflmao

How long have you been playing?

Holding isn't that much different. You just need to loosen up and go with the flow of the music. You will find slide techniques associated with the fiddle, and more vibrato associated with the violin.

Violin is more stiff and controlled, fiddling is more relaxed and "uncontrolled".

Most fiddlers play along the lines of improv instead of sticking to the script.
