I feel as though I would I would answer the woman with what she wants to hear, Blue. I know I would want to hear that, too. I think my mind is more like a woman's than a man's. I hope that's okay for a gay guy. :/

Perfectly fine, me I have it all mixed up, I empathize and try to fix it at the same time. Makes me a major annoyance to my friends that only want one or the other. I'm the "I'm sorry, that was horrible, now get off you tail bone and go fix it." sort.

For whatever reason it is typical, but it's not required (though most of the same people who don't like gays also don't like people who stray from gender roles).

I think it's a good thing you're gay because it's difficult (a few regions of the world excepted) to find women who are the more take charge kind. They exist, but even when they're comfortable with it (and even prefer it) they're pressured by society to be the nurturer as the guy is to be the one in charge. Women who are bossy or make a habit of taking the lead are often seen as evil bitches, shrews, emasculating, and other unflattering names (save in the action, comic, scifi & fantasy movies, for some reason it's ok for women to be a lot more take charge there, don't know why, I guess it's like why Star Trek got away with tweaking the paradigm that wouldn't have been tolerated anywhere else at the time). So all in all I think you can find someone more compatible with you among other men much easier.
