Not That Anyone Cares But...
Not that anyone cares, monk, but during a diet you should NOT be hungry. The ideal diet contains a lot of food and vegetables, just not so caloric ones *hug*

Not that anyone cares but it's not working like that - I'm starving!

Then the diet is not right, monk. I'll try to find something that supports my idea and send you PM in several days. I will have to translate it from Czech *hug*

Eat more fruit and veg 6+ servings a day, spread out through the day. They are low calories and will leave you feeling full.

I have no idea what kind of diet you are on, but if it severely restricts you on the good tasting stuff it most likely will not last.

When I ate and maintained my weight I ate between 6-7 servings of fruit and veg a day. I didn't eat the three big meals, instead I had 6 smaller meals throughout the day. I regulated my fast food to less than once a week (one meal on Saturdays usually in front of the TV watching a rental movie). I curbed my meat intake to 1-2 servings per day, had about 3 servings of grains (bread, muffins, oatmeal, cereal sticking with whole grains or wheat less products or low wheat.

I allowed myself the occasional two scoops of ice cream, or a candy bar, or whatever. I also had a few more sweets because I bake a lot of stuff. things like muffins where you can cut the oil/shortening completely out and replace it with prune puree or apple sauce. If you do that you can cut the sugar at least in half thus the extra calories from sugar and fats are removed making a muffin have less calories.

One thing you might need to consider is that your stomach has been stretched out over the years of eating 3 or less big meals a day. - Become a grazer - meaning you eat a little all the time, this keeps enough food in your stomach to where you are not feeling that hungry. Drink more fluids, juices, herb teas, water to keep you feeling full until your stomach shrinks down.

The average human stomach is about as big as one's fist. The average Westerner's stomach is 2-3 times larger than that having been stretched out with the three meals a day diet.

Added Fats and Added sugars are were the majority of useless calories come from. Here in the states we have a butter substitute called Butter-Buds - its low in calories but has the rich flavor. I used that on things like popcorn, mashed potatoes, etc for the flavor of butter without the calories.

The non-stick fry pan can replace the need for tablespoons of fat. I can take chicken and put it on a non-greased hot non-stick pan and fry it up with herbs, salt, pepper. After browning, I turn down the heat a touch and cover the pan to cook all the way to the bone. Its great that way and you are eating less fat.

Little things like that make a larger impact than major changes in most cases.

not that anyone cares, but will there be any vitamin when you are done?

Not that anyone cares.

But yes. I pureed an onion and a bag of baby carrots which I added to the mix, since I have the pot on simmer (very low heat) it will slowly cook the hard dry split peas down to a mush. The end product is something very tasty and good for you and it sticks to the ribs.

Its also Vegetarian (shh don't tell the roommate he thinks it has meat in it).
