Thanks fellas, though I probably should have phrased that differently - my roommate is fine, he just dropped his wallet outside our apartment (alcohol was involved) and when he finally noticed, half his money was stolen. For reasons unknown he didn't think it was a problem to have several hundred dollars in rent money in his wallet, but it's still messed up and I still want to strangle whoever took half of it (and why only half?? the money was wet from rain so it would've taken more effort to peel apart the bills than to just grab the whole wad). I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of those little shitheel friends of the people two apartments down who are always making their drug deals as conspicuous and indiscreet as possible. But who knows...not that anyone cares!

Actually miles taking part of half is a 'tweak' mentality - they think that no one will know exactly how much money was there, so taking half means it won't be missed. Bighug
