i didn't mean in life . i'm actually more hopeful about my life now than i ever have been . i've finally started to really , genuinely recover from my childhood , and the majority of things in my life are good and wonderful ~
the "stark realities of life" have showed themselves to me in all kinds of horrible ways since i was very young ...

but my best friend is in hospital and the possibility of him getting better is getting lesser all the time so that's what i'm losing hope for ~

You deserve that hug. You been through a lot and I know how that is. You're a great person... in case no one has told you that recently.

I'm sorry about your friend. This may sound trite, or superficial or something, but for everything there is a season and a time and a purpose.

No matter how this goes, it will be OK in the end. It may not turn out the way you hope, but it will be OK.
