We had a magnitude 4 earthquake in Johannesburg at 10:00 this morning.

Knocked out the electricity for about an hour where I work

Never had anything like that before, quite exciting. Cool

The florescent tubes fell out of the fitting on the factory roof, thankfully (or not) missing the workers underneath

NTACB without all of the earthquake laws like California has in construction I'm surprised there wasn't major building collapses and crap in SA.... 4 is pretty big for reinforced brick structures.

NTACB 4,0 constitutes more of a minor shaker than a actual earthquake...

I had the delight of being in an 8,8 one in 2010......super fun....I tell you...*rolls eyes*

And if the electriticy got knocked out by a mere 4.0...yikes....

Its good to know no one got hurt though
