I'm more visually/artistically oriented. At work I have to track numerous things and personnel with Excel files so I color code different departments/products, who's on the safety committee, who can drive company vehicles, new employees vs long term ones, which ones have 801 claims, ... depending on the complexity of the spread sheet I'm working on, it can tend to look like a rainbow threw up all over it.
At a glance and from a distance I can tell you a lot about what's going on from the colors alone, but to everyone else who doesn't know my color codes it looks quite messy.
